These are mine!

This battery is all mine! Painted by me for me...They are 28mm Perry Miniatures firing 9 pounders. I just need to clarify which foot battery it is in terms of the Waterloo OB. I am going to try and collect a British division from the 1815 campaign. I have most of the figures they just need painting.

The battery is based on 70x70 MDF bases. Rather large I guess but I didn't want the crews squished together too much - they need room to work the guns safely. The size of base isn't based on any rule system but that wasn't a priority when I planned it. I would rather change a rule system and adapt them to suit - some rules are quite flexible for example in Black Powder there is no base size you do it how you like.  Whereas some rules force you to squeeze it all on to a 60x40.

28MM NAPOLEONIC BRITISH FOOT ARTILLERY

I have just finished this unit of 28mm Frontrank British Peninsular War foot artillery to go on the website. They are depicted with one gun firing and the other has just fired and is being made ready and realigned - just add smoke! Where is that cotton wool...
I have had this unit for a while along with some other Frontrank units that I will try and get round to painting. They will also be put on the website to illustrate the painted units page. Although I may be keeping the original units for myself - especially the unit pack of early British Napoleonic Hussars they will look grand when painted.

WEBSITE GOES LIVE 1ST SEPTEMBER

I was wildly over optimistic at thinking the Hart of War website would be ready by mid August lol. There is a lot of work involved in getting things ready!
But I can confidently say, with fingers and everything else crossed that the site will be up and running on 1st September. I am really happy with the way it is looking. I hope you will like it too, even if its just to look at the gallery page looking for research/painting ideas, all visits are welcome.
Here are some pictures of 15mm French Indian Wars figures that were used for Osprey's 'Land of the Free' wargames rules written by Joe Krone. The figures are by US company Blue Moon.

BATTLETECH ROBOTS

I had a very interesting and different commission to do a few weeks ago - BattleTech.
They are robot weapons from the 31st Century, and to give an idea of size the little soldiers that run around getting squished are 6mm scale. I had never heard of Battletech before now, it reminded me very much of Transformers, a family favourite here (the movies anyway...except the 4th movie). Having said that these robots are not 'alive' as such and do not transform into sporty cars and things.
The robots in green are the 'good' side, and those in the old weathered greeny/brown are the naughty bad guys who like to cause trouble wherever they go (don't we all or is that just me)
I am surprised that Transformers has not been made into a game with figures etc available - may be its not as popular everywhere in the gaming world as it is here at home. I am pretty sure my eldest daughter would get involved as she already loves Warhammer 40K!
All the robots have names!

EBAY SALE AND WEBSITE UPDATE

EBAY

At the moment I have a few discounted Warlord Games Bolt Action items for sale on Ebay. I am selling them unpainted and brand new in the box:
D-Day Firefight starter set £57.00 (normal RRP £70.00)
Armoured Fury Tank War starter set £68.50 (RRP £80.00)
U.S Infantry Box (plastic) £18.95 (RRP £24.00)
Late War German Infantry (plastic) £18.95 (£24.00)

Go grab a bargain, the Late War British Infantry plastic boxes have already gone. My user ID on Ebay is 8693phillip. It would be remiss of me, as a professional figure painter, not to mention that you could commission me to paint them for you lol.....sorry a bit of blatant advertising.
....email p414hart@btinternet.com Doh! Can't help myself...

The website is progressing well, sorting out the glitches and making changes to layouts, but its all looking to be on schedule to go live mid/late August. Its a bit of an adventure, a lot of work, but exciting. A bit like the fun that Jason and the Argonauts are having here. A tenuous link to put some totally unrelated pictures on to illustrate this post....

....erm sorry its not that sort of naughty website, honest.
