The 42nd Royal Highland Regiment - as they would have appeared in the American War of Independence rather than the 1768 regulations. Apparently there was a shortage of plaid etc, and the C-in-C of the Regiment opted for more suitable clothing for the rigours of campaigning in America... which is great because they are much easier to paint today! Surprisingly they didn't like the Claymores they were issued with and preferred to use the bayonet!
Figures are 28mm Perry Miniatures and in the collection of Martin Scott of Herts Volunteers Wargames Club.
A very nice unit, Phil.
